This report will examine the evidence that the human electroencephalogram (EEG) can be used to help predict medication response in clients with mental health concerns. The focus of this review will be depression, which is typically treated with antidepressants, and ADD/ADHD which is commonly treated with stimulants. The ultimate question to be asked is, “can EEG be used clinically to help to select the most appropriate medications for a client?”
