Key findings
- 70% had at least a 50% reduction in migraine frequency
- Gains held an average of 14.5 months after treatment
- Effect size (1.09) larger than for thermal biofeedback alone
A clinical outcome study of 37 migraine patients treated in an outpatient clinic with EEG neurofeedback and hemoencephalography (HEG) biofeedback combined with hand-warming biofeedback, about three times a week for six months. Seventy percent halved their migraine frequency, and the benefit held about 14 months after treatment ended.
