Population
Adults
Protocol
19-channel eLORETA connectivity

Key findings

  • Reduced alpha and alpha-2 activity in posterior regions
  • Hypo-connectivity in the executive, salience and default mode networks

A pilot eLORETA study comparing nine patients with myalgic encephalomyelitis (chronic fatigue syndrome) with nine healthy controls. Patients showed reduced alpha activity in posterior regions and weaker connectivity within the central executive, salience and default mode networks, which may underlie their cognitive problems.
