Key findings
- Extreme blood pressures moved toward normal
- Fingertip temperature rise tracked the rate of recovery
Twenty-seven medication-free patients with brain injury were treated with computer-assisted EEG neurofeedback while their heart rate, blood pressure and fingertip temperature were tracked. Blood pressures that started high or low moved toward normal, and fingertip temperature rose over treatment in step with how quickly patients recovered, suggesting better circulation alongside the targeted brain changes.
