School teachers would constantly tell him how intelligent he was and if he could just settle down and focus on his work he could become anything he choose to. But every time Dr. Powell would ask them how he could accomplish this task no one could give him any direction. By his 13th birthday Dr. Powell had successfully learned self-hypnosis to help him in calming him from the hyperactivity. At the age 16 Dr. Powell had completed his first of many psychology text books and at the age of 17 graduated from high school and entered college.
